MotoGp Poll: Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix

Everybody should agree on Nicky Hayden's victory in Laguna Seca, but who is going to take the second place? Logic wants that I pick Edwards, always faster than Rossi in USA, but my heart goes to Valentino, to an epic victory in a track so difficult to an European rider born and raised in circuits that are totally different at least in width and run-offs. The Tavullia Champion is a rider who learns quickly from his own mistakes, someone able to change his riding style according to the conditions even during the same race by processing continuously the information collected from lap to lap. As much as I try to be rational, when it comes to MotoGp, I like to imagine what it would excite me and so, my pick is Hayden, second behind an irresistible Rossi. Unfortunately we have to choose among the first 7 riders in the World Championship, so I will be even more naive, Edwards (again like logic wanted) but again behind Rossi, for a historic Yamaha podium!!!!!!!

OK, I'm saying Vermeulen.
He was so fast last year it was amazing. I remember when he won a race at Laguna in World Superbike and they played "Waltzing Matilda" instead of the Australian national anthem!
I realize that he will probably qualify 9th and get hit by someone like de Puniet in turn 1, but you never know.

Well if Sunday will rain like today it did it in NYC they should directly assign the race to Vermeulen, the best riders in wet conditions. In dry conditions I think hopper is faster, capable of a "Monster" race

Capirossi in Suzuki? I thought he was going to ride a Kawasaki ... The green bike has definitely improved in the recent races but that that color is still difficult to digest. Capirex will look much better in the Rizla baby blue!

Maybe Ingrid Capirossi told Loris that she wasn't going to visit him in a green garage!

This is a tough one. Haydon, Hopkins, Edwards, Rossi, Stoner or some other surprises. The way Nick Haydon has been riding and the Honda behaving well lately, I have to give the nod to him for the victory. After that it could be one of many. Valentino needs points so I have to pick him for second. I do not understand John Hopkins move to Kawasaki. Obviously, he knows better than I do, but I have to believe there is big money involved. Kawasaki insits that they are still currently in a testing mode and next year will be for real! We shall see.

Is it true that Hopkins has signed up with Kawasaki for 4 years? I have read it on a forum (absolute) and not checked yet ... I do not see the logic of such a long commitment for either side ...

I wonder if it might be a 2 year deal with some kind of 2 year option after that, which would sound more reasonable. Maybe if he is in the top 3 of the championship then the deal continues, or something like that.
Realistically, if you're not on a works Honda, Yamaha or Ducati I don't think there will be any difference between signing for Suzuki or Kawasaki, so Hopper took the money and ran.
